Fundraising
Once, during an inpatient stay at the hospital, we were riding an elevator and one of the hospital staff entered holding a clear bag of liquid. In talking with this young man, I came to find out it was a chemotherapy treatment, on its way to a patient's room. At some point in the conversation, I learned this particular bag of clear liquid cost almost $10,000.
What's new this year?
If you didn't already know, cancer treatment is expensive. Research is expensive. Surgeries, tests, transfusions—it's all very expensive.
We're tried something new this September, selling 3 Feet High and Rising t-shirts, hoodies, bags, and stickers through an online store. The proceeds from these sales will be donated to the oncology program at Children's Mercy Hospital, in Kansas City.

Our fundraising event ended October 5, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised almost $700! This has been one of our most successful fundraising efforts to date.
